This Sunday is the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the celebration at the end of the Ramadan month of fasting.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is one of many religious holidays celebrated throughout the year in Singapore. It’s also celebrated across South and Southeast Asia.

The region is a widely diverse mix of ethnicity, language, religion and culture. Singapore alone is home to Chinese, Malay and Indian societies. Additionally there are many foreign workers from around the globe. The City state boasts harmonious and stable inter-cultural relations.

The unique blend of Singapore’s cosmopolitan social fabric means that its calendar is full of public holidays and celebrations. These range from Chinese New Year to Vesak Day, and Labour Day to Christmas Day. Singapore’s holiday calendar reminds us of the incredible strength that comes from appreciating and celebrating our cultural differences.

With people from such a huge variety of social backgrounds, it’s no wonder that Singapore is also home to a huge variety of small businesses. On one street alone, you might walk past a Korean BBQ joint next to an Australian craft beer bar, a Singaporean Peranakan museum and a Japanese wedding atelier.

For these unique businesses to be successful, they all need a specific set of tools and solutions.

Enabling Success

We’ve designed Xero’s ecosystem to meet the individual needs of small business owners regardless of their sector or size. The ecosystem connects them with advisors and app developers.

Continued collaboration with global application providers from around the world means that Xero’s small business clients have access to over 500 add-on apps.

We’ve invested in maintaining this open platform so that small businesses can pick and choose the right tools to manage their operations. They can choose from CRM to debtor tracking and eCommerce to point of sale.

Here are a few of our most popular add-ons in Singapore and Asia, and how they help small businesses thrive:

TradeGecko is an inventory management tool. It connects into the Xero platform, to help ecommerce businesses manage their stock, sales and purchase orders easily and efficiently in the cloud.

HREasily is a one-stop employee portal. It helps businesses automate time consuming HR and payroll activities.

Spotlight Reporting is a reporting and forecasting tool. It gives small business insights to make better strategic decisions.

Collaborating means Innovating

We’re actively working with some amazing app developers across Asia to bring our customers both here and globally the most relevant apps for their businesses.

Xero’s first ever Developer Roadshow XD 17 will be taking place in Singapore in August. We’re looking forward to chatting to more developers from across the region and spending time with our ecosystem community.

Our plan is to bring together our existing and potential ecosystem partners. Together we can find new ways to deliver value to our small business customers.
